Born in Berlin / Germany. 1997-2000 trained as an actress at Goldsmith’s College and the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts in London, and 2000-2008 as an opera singer at the University of Arts in Berlin. Since 2007 private student of the American Mezzo-Soprano Grace Bumbry in Salzburg. Lara-Sophie has worked with many reknown German theater directors, among them Frank-Patrick Steckel, Mathias Fontheim and Nikolaus Lehnhoff. She lives and works as an actress, singer and author in Berlin.

Since 2008 Lara-Sophie is an Ensemble-member and co-artistic director of LABEL NOIR a professional Afro-German / Black Theatre Ensemble based in Berlin. Lara-Sophie also works for Label Noir as as an actress and author. Their first production „Homeland, Bittersweet Homeland“ was shown with great success throughout Germany at many reknown theaters, e.g. the Ballhaus Naunynstraße Berlin, the Hebbel Theater Berlin, the Hand-Otto-Theater in Potsdam, the Theaterlaboratory Bremen, the International Theater Frankfurt Main, the Kleistforum Frankfurt Oder and the Halle 7 Theater Munich. „Homeland Bittersweet Homeland“ was reviewed by the BBC and invited by the German Association Society to the US.
